As you can see from the photographs below the scheme consisted of the demolition of all site structures including a 52m high chimney which was brought down using explosives and two 48m high winding towers consisting of over 1,000t of steelwork. The towers were brought down by successfully cutting and pulling the legs.

The overall tonnage of steelwork was in excess of 4,000t.
